Supporting Small Businesses
As City Councilor, I will make my priority to support the recovery and development of small businesses. Without small businesses, we wouldn’t have the same level of prosperity and growth in Flushing.
The recent attempt by the DOT to create a busway, while stopping all vehicular traffic right through downtown Flushing, is a reflection of a longstanding institutional blindspot towards the economic engine that has made Flushing into a commercial and shopping destination.
Such decisions, made without appropriate community input, can further aggravate conditions for Flushing businesses that have already been severely affected under COVID-19.
According to a recent report, more than 30% of small businesses will be in danger of closing permanently in the next six months. When elected, I will fight for our businesses to reopen quickly and safely, provide tax relief, reduce the burden of tickets and violations, and increase access to low-interest loans for small businesses to survive through this crisis.

沒有小商業,就沒有法拉盛的繁榮。
我當選市議員後,將盡全力支持小商業的復甦與發展。最近交通局準備在法拉盛市區建立公車專用道,禁止所有的私家車進入。…(了解更多)

Supporting Law and Order
As City Councilor, I will make a priority to restore public safety and quality of life in Flushing. Anti-Asian hate crime has been on the rise amidst a wider surge in overall shooting and crime rates in NYC.
It is important to strike the right balance between respect for the police and necessary reforms. It is the community that suffers when the men and women of the police are so handicapped that they are unable to perform their duties.
As City Councilor, I will strengthen communication and collaboration between the police and the community – we need to work together to restore a safe and stable environment for all.

Supporting Education
As City Councilor, I will fight for a fair share of educational resources for Flushing students and families. Education is at the foundation of our community’s strength and future. For too long, there have been no Gifted and Talented programs at the middle school level in School District 25.
Our community is not asking for any special treatment, just our fair share of educational resources. One of my priorities will be to bring a G&T middle school program to Flushing’s School District 25.
I strongly oppose the Mayor’s policy of targeting the Specialized High Schools entrance exam. Specialized high schools should remain a beacon of excellence in education and maintain a fair admission process.

所謂十年樹木 ,百年樹人。教育是我們社區的根本訴求。

Supporting Affordable Housing
The pandemic has seriously affected income sources of tenants and landlords, leading to economic insecurity for many.
As City Councilor, I will advocate for more assistance to help landlords, such as providing reasonable property tax relief, freezing property taxes, and providing low-interest loans.
At the same time, I will advocate for tenants who have difficulty paying rent. In order to support economic and community renewal, our government should do its utmost to help both landlords and tenants.

Caring For The Elderly
According to the NYS Office of the Comptroller, in 2019 the age segment of 55 years and over accounted for 27% of the population in Queens; and in Flushing, it was over 30%.
As City Councilor, I will set up a task force dedicated to serving the elderly population for services such as applying for SSA, SSI, Food Stamps, Medicare/Medicaid, etc. and supporting the elderly’s right to live with dignity and security.
When elected, I will advocate for NYC to build more residential units reserved for the elderly who are faced with a housing crisis.
